AIS Coronavirus Precaution Update

This afternoon, April 6th, the mayor of Nagoya announced that public schools in the city will close from April 7 through April 19.

AIS is not a board of education-approved school; however, we fully understand that the purpose of the mayor’s announcement is to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in order to protect the safety of children. While AIS respects and cooperates with the purpose of the mayor’s announcement, we also understand that as a school, we have a responsibility to maintain and continue education for AIS children as promised to parents at the time of admission.

For this purpose, from April 7th and for the time being until April 19th, elementary school classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with classes closed on Thursdays and Fridays (arrangements will be implemented to cover all learning content). Kindergarten will remain open.
