Employment

Aichi International School is typically looking for teachers to start in April and can commit through a whole academic year.

Applicants must be possess a valid, teacher’s license or qualification, having completed an early childhood or primary education degree. TESOL/TEFL qualifications alone are not applicable for a position. We have a preference for applicants already residing in Japan with valid working visas but we also consider overseas applicants.

Aichi International School acknowledges the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in accordance with applicable child protection laws in Japan, together with our WASC accreditation requirements. We are committed to ensuring the best practices for child protection that allow all students to feel free from any form of physical or emotional harm in their daily lives, whether while at school or at home. Employees at AIS understand they have a contractual obligation to adhere to our child protection policy, and as such, reference checks will be undertaken as part of candidate screening.

The successful applicant must be open to new experiences and cultures, and have a genuine passion for educating young children. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, although we do ask for some flexibility with regards to a few events throughout the year, such as Sports Day, Halloween and the Christmas Concert.
